I am often reminded about reasons I will never spend the rest of my life in my lovely hometown of Grimsby. A prime example has come to me today in the form of a letter to the editor in the Grimsby News...
Dear Editor:
I can honestly say that I was brought to tears reading the article outlining the tragic death of the two Siberian Huskies in rural Grimsby. My sincerest sympathies go out to the family of these two animals. I know how difficult it is to lose a dog...
I won't torture you with the rest. Ye gads. I mostly stick to my house so that I won't have to come into contact with these people.

Did anyone catch Evil Dead the Musical in TO? Sounds like party times.

I just understood a pun in a song that I memorized about 12 years ago. In the Lion King when the little bird guy sings, 'this child is getting wildly out of wing' it's instead of 'out of hand' because he's a bird. Birds don't have hands. Ha ha. Get it? Get it? Wings....hoo boy.
Never mind.
Never mind.

It's been almost 5 days since I got my wisdom teeth out, why am I still so tired!?! I think I'll lay on my bed and watch Buffy now.

Had a funtastic weekend visiting Richella in the land of rocks and trees and water. We canoed, watched bathtub-boat races in Huntsville, watched movies, played on baby kayaks (spending much of our time trying to dump one another and her co-workers in the water), ate ice cream while watching mouthy children jump in a lake- and mooning us every time they jumped. Ate lots of junk food, drove some hitchhiking kid from the big town of Kearny to his home, distant Emsdale (I know, I know, girls driving alone shouldn't pick up hitching teenage boys blah blah blah.) All around good fun. But note to self: every single person who usually lives in Toronto return like little workers to their hives on Sunday night...wait until Monday morning AT ALL COSTS.

Just found my phone for sale on the web. (for those who don't know, it's the one made of Lego) $95US, not too shabby. I paid $5 at ValueVillage...but it's not for sale folks!
Hello blogworld. I am a lousy post-person, but that will all change soon! Right.
So, my life.
The thesis is moving forward nicely, my prof doesn't hate it- I'm pleased with that.
The hunt for jobs is sucking, but don't most job searches? Right now I'm contemplating staying with my parents next year so that I can save up money for school for real. (yay rent-free!)
The auntie's lesbian wedding fest went super well and was tons o' fun (despite the accompanist playing my solo in the wrong key I just don't sound as pretty FOUR TONES LOWER...)
Oh, and does anyone want to buy a $50 Adventure Guide gift certificate from me? My well-meaning church gave it to me for a goodbye present, but I'd rather buy a book or something as a good memory present.
Speaking of buying- Char, do you get discounts on paddling jackets? Meg's mom wants to buy one for Meg's dad, not too fancy, men's XL. Let me know.
My life really is quite boring-- yet I'm so busy. Odd that.
